“Seems as if with the coming of November we are already approaching the holiday season. The 1st of November is the Feast of All Saints. Because it falls on the weekend, it is not a day of obligation, but we will celebrate the Solemnity with Mass at MPH at 9 am. People from Assumption are welcome and encouraged to attend. I feel I (the parish) should join in the Main Street Trick or Treat on Friday to help provide a safe activity, and treats, for our children - so all are welcome to join me in their favorite Saint’s costume. Sunday, Nov. 2, is All Souls Day. We will be inviting everyone to commemorate your faithful departed with a special ceremony that day. Our Chamois Area Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service will be Sunday, Nov. 23, at 4 pm. We will be hosting it here at MPH, as the new UCC pastor will be preaching. We look forward to your participation and help in hosting a reception afterwards.”…Fr. Dave
Funeral Arrangements for Jane Keilholz – Jane passed to her eternal reward on Thursday, Oct. 16. Visitation is on Sunday, Oct. 19, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Morton Chapel in Chamois with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. We extend our deepest sympathy to the Keilholz family and will keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
Catholic Stewardship Appeal (CSA) - Recently you received a letter from Bishop Gaydos asking for your generous support of the Catholic Stewardship Appeal. The 2015 universal theme – “Seek the Lord, while He may be found” reminds us that in everything we do, it is our calling to act in a manner that imitates the Lord’s love and mercy. Please give prayerful consideration to how you can respond, complete your pledge card and return it to the diocesan Stewardship Office in the envelope provided.
