**Tuesday & Wednesday Mass Times & Locations - On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, Masses will be offered for All Souls.  Mass on Tuesday will be at 10:00 a.m. in Assumption Cemetery, weather permitting.  Mass on Wednesday will be at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, weather permitting.

Text Box: “As I have already announced, I leave in a week for a short trip back to Magadan, Russia, for their 20th anniversary. I didn’t pick out the dates, but this is when it is. So I will not be here for All Saints Day (which is NOT a Holy Day of Obligation this year) or for All Souls Day. But as we started a tradition last year of having an All Souls Day Mass at our cemeteries for all who died and are buried there, I’d like to continue that. So, therefore, we’ll have Mass at Assumption Cemetery on Tuesday at 10 am, and at Most Pure Heart of Mary Cemetery on Wednesday at 10 am weather permitting, of course.
“With the beginning of November, we really are approaching many holidays - Thanksgiving and then Christmas is not too far off, plus deer hunting and all that goes on. It is, of course, right and proper that we do these things and celebrate well, but it’s just as important to continue and do all the regular things well, and continue with all that we have begun. So let’s not get lazy or apathetical about Sunday Mass or weekday Mass, about Adoration and our prayers, about PSR and teaching our children our faith, about the Men’s Group, or Handbell practice or taking care of your parish and its needs, or helping your neighbor, and the rest that is expected of us. ‘To whom much has been given, much will be expected.’ God bless you all.”...Fr. Dave

Thank You - Assumption parish Fall Dinner Committee would like to thank all those parishioners who donated for our raffle and also thanks to everyone who worked and helped out in any way.  It was greatly appreciated!
We’re All Missionaries - Do you know the date of your Baptism?  Well, on that day, you became a missionary, called by our Lord to share your faith with those around you — and to be part of the Church’s mission to the world.  Jesus Himself directed His followers to go into the whole world and proclaim His Gospel — the “Good News” of His love for us — to all peoples (see Mark 16:15). That mission is now directed to each one of us.  On World Mission Sunday, we have the opportunity to be part of the Church’s missionary work in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Pacific Islands through our prayers and support offered to the Society for the Propagation of the Faith.  If you forgot your envelope this weekend, just drop in the collection basket next weekend.

Priesthood Sunday - Next Sunday, Oct. 31, is a national day set aside to honor the good priests who are so important in our lives.  It is a call for parishioners to focus on Christ as Priest and the men who are called to be his priests on earth.  It is a time for prayer, celebration, and dialog with your parish priest.  Priesthood Sunday is for priests, but it’s really for all Catholics.  Embrace its good intentions.  For more info, visit www.priestsunday.org.
