**Mass Schedule for All Saints’ Day has been changed since last week’s bulletin. All Masses for this holy day of obligation are being offered on Tuesday, Nov. 1 - at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption and at 6:00 p.m. at MPH.
++Note Additional Change in Weekday Mass Schedule – Thursday’s Mass will be at 8:00 a.m. for the coming week.
“There was an envelope for Mass offerings in your November packet. Just to review: Mass intentions are one of the many intentions offered at each Mass; but your intention is always included, whether mentioned or not. Stipends are optional, but appreciated. Many wish that the Church would do away with ‘Mass Stipends’, but Mission Churches have begged to continue the practice, since they depend on them. That is ideal: you share in the spiritual bounty of another place, and they receive the support needed for carrying out the mission of the Church. There are limits: we can only accept enough intentions for the Masses we can say within 2 years. If we receive more, we send them to the Mission office to be said elsewhere; if we don’t receive enough for the Masses being said in our parishes, we request some from them (thus the often unfamiliar names). If you would like to see more local names listed in the bulletin, please request the Masses. It is a fine way to remember and honor your deceased relatives. You can also send your Mass requests (with a stipend) directly to the Mission office to be said in the mission lands.”…Fr. Dave

Catholic Stewardship Appeal - The Catholic Stewardship Appeal offers the people of God in the Diocese of Jefferson City an opportunity to respond to God’s call to share our gifts with those most in need. You further God’s mission by participating in the Catholic Stewardship Appeal and making a gift to support the work of the diocesan church. If you have already responded, thank you for whatever gift you have given. If you are still thinking about it, please consider making a pledge today. We count on your prayerful and financial support to help meet the various needs of parishes, missions and schools in the diocese.
Book of Remembrance – From the Feast of All Souls (Nov. 2) to the Feast of Christ the King is a month of remembrance for the faithful departed. The Book of Remembrance for each parish has been placed in the back of each respective church. You may add the names of others you would like to remember during this special time in addition to the Mass intentions.
Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) Collection will be taken up next weekend. The AMS relies solely on private donors in support of its mission, “Serving those who serve” and its ministry to provide the same pastoral care & services to Catholics serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, enrolled in U.S. Military Academies, undergoing treatment at any of the 153 Department of Veterans Affairs’ Medical Centers, working in civilian jobs for the federal government beyond U.S. borders, and the families of these populations, as does any other Catholic diocese. While the salaries and retirement of Catholic military chaplains are paid for by the U.S. Government, the AMS receives no funding from government or the military for its programs and services, including the Co-Sponsored Seminarian Program, which provides priests for home dioceses and for the military chaplaincy. To learn more about the AMS, go to www.milarch.org/nationalcollection. Check your November contribution envelope packet for a special envelope for this collection.
