**Note Change in Weekday Mass – Mass at Assumption will be on Monday instead of Tuesday for the coming week.

"I want to thank everyone who participated in the CSA solicitation last weekend. At MPH we had 6 households who made a pledge, and 8 others who indicated that they had already sent it in. (Officially as of last Wednesday 9 households have sent in their pledges for a total of $865.) Assumption had 3 households make their pledges and 10 indicated that they had already sent it in. (Officially 5 had been received by last Wednesday for a total of $1130.) I know we have more than 15 households in MPH and more than 13 at Assumption, so I encourage everyone else to take the time to make their pledge and send it in to the diocese. Your support is important for the continuing health and vitality of the diocesan ministries that serve our parish.  Please carefully review the gifts God has given you and in faith continue to support the work of our diocese.  God bless you.
“Assumption - I’m scheduling Mass for Monday at 10 am this week, instead of Tuesday at 8 am. This is the second Tuesday and I have Mass at the nursing home, and I know some of you like to go to the Mass at Starkenburg also. So we’ll try Monday.”...Fr. Dave

Breakfast & Bake Sale (Country Store) – NEXT Sunday, Nov. 17, at Assumption Church.  Serving homemade link sausage, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, coffee (not milk) & orange juice 8:00 a.m.-noon.  Adults/$7.50, ages 5-12/$3, 4 and under/free.

Attn. Assumption Parishioners – “Bake Sale” items don’t have to be just baked goods.  Pecans, apples, pears, turnips (if you still have some) are welcome.  Also, canned items sell well, too.

The U.S. Catholic Bishops strongly support giving parents choices in their children’s education: “Parents—the first and most important educators—have a fundamental right to choose the education best suited to the needs of their children, including public, private, and religious schools. Government, through such means as tax credits and publicly funded scholarships, should help provide resources for parents, especially those of modest means, to exercise this basic right without discrimination.” (Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, 2012)  Please join with the MO Bishops in seeking passage of CEI. For more info, contact the MO Catholic Conference at (800) 456-1679 or
