**Note Change in Weekday Mass Schedule – Just a gentle reminder since this is the 2nd Tuesday of the month, Mass on Tuesday will be at 8:00 a.m.

It is a sad day for America. We have indeed become a godless nation. The re-election of Barak Obama is the latest in many indications of our growing moral decline. The signs are everywhere: the continuing killing of literally millions of our unborn: only 40% of children born are born to a married couple: less than 50% of Americans are church goers: ‘gay marriage’ and euthanasia gaining approval. Indeed look at our own community and ask yourself where are our neighbors our friends on Sunday morning? I dare say look at your own families; how many of your children whom you had baptized and taught the faith no longer practice, no longer have room for God in their lives? We are no longer a nation under God; we may as well remove those words from the Pledge of Allegiance. We, as church-going Catholics, are now a persecuted minority. Will we remain strong in witness and action? Or succumb to the times?
We had only 17 households fill out the CSA envelope last Saturday evening at MPH and only 11 at Assumption. (Every family was asked to fill one out, or weren’t my instructions clear?) I doubt the bishop will be impressed that we have only 28 active families in our two parishes. Or is there another explanation?
Good luck to all our deer hunters; be safe out there. God Bless.
