**Christmas Mass Schedule |
“Christmas is just a week away. Traditionally this week, or these last 9 days before Christmas is set aside for a Christmas Novena. While I know everyone is too busy to attend church every evening (even I will be out helping with confessions this week – Tuesday at St. Thomas and Thursday in Linn), it might be a good idea to try and do your own personal novena. Or use this week for some extra time of prayer preparing to celebrate the coming of the Christ next Sunday! I pray that you, your family and friends will have a most blessed and grace-filled Christmas.”…Fr. Dave
PSR Schedule – PSR classes be held on Monday, Dec. 19; no PSR the week of Christmas. Beginning in January 2017, PSR classes will be on Wednesdays; the first 2017 PSR class will be on Jan. 4.
2016 Offertory Contributions – If you want any contributions credited to tax year 2016, please put in collection no later than January 8, 2017, and make sure the date on the outside of your collection envelopes is 2016.

Poinsettia Donations – Anyone wishing to donate a poinsettia in memory of a loved one for Christmas, please put them in back of church anytime. Please insert a small note containing the names of those it is in memory of and the donor.

Seminarian Formation/Priest Retirement Collection – Our diocese makes an assessment to all parishes each year at Christmas to pay for educational expenses of our seminarians & to help fund the needs of our retired & infirm priests (MPH’s assessment $959; Assumption’s $668). This collection is taken up during the Christmas Masses. Please use the special contribution envelope in your packet & be generous in helping our parishes pay their fair share of the expenses of our larger Church.
