Text Box: **Note Changes in Weekday Mass Schedule - Thursday is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and is a holy day of obligation.  Masses are being offered for this holy day on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m at Most Pure Heart of Mary and on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Assumption.  There will be no Mass on Friday this week.

Text Box: “Next week Chamois and Morrison will be holding their Churches Open House. It is a chance for you to visit our neighbors’ churches and see their Advent/Christmas decorations. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and also to support your local community. If you are able to act as host (be present for a time when our churches are open), please let me know. We need volunteers for both churches and even the rectory. We will be ending with a short concert by our own Handbells of St. Mary’s Bell Choir at 5:15 at MPH followed by a soup and chili and cookie reception in the hall. You are welcome to also bring some.
“I hope everyone noticed the Christmas schedule. We left Saturday evening Mass at MPH (at 4:30), and Sunday morning Mass at Assumption (at 9am) and added the mid(le of the)night Mass at Assumption this year (at 9:30pm). Those are the times we’ll be beginning a little Christmas program of Christmas carols before Mass. So I guess it’s time to get our Christmas choirs together for some rehearsals – let’s meet after Mass the next two weekends.
“This week we have the Feast of the Immaculate Conception – a Holy Day of Obligation. I have my leadership training program on Friday.
“I’m always available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation; I’ll try and be particularly available before Mass the next couple of weeks.”...Fr. Dave
