“Well, this has been unexpected. I never thought that a sore throat would get me so down. I saw a specialist this week who found some sort of fungus on my larynx, and so I pray that we now have the right medicine for it, and that I can be talking (and singing) again soon.
“Part two of my homily on the Profess, Proclaim and Celebrate Our Faith program we are currently in the midst of, was about the pledge card. These will be used only for the total they give. We can look back at our average collections and compare it to the pledges we have for the future. We will never come back to you saying you pledged so much but have only given so much. Please consider the pledge cards as your desire and promise to do the best you can, but if reality changes, we trust you to just do the best you can. Signing the pledge card also means you will not receive the follow-up letter. Thanks to those who have already returned the pledge cards. Again, this is your pledge to God through your Sunday offering, and every penny goes to your parish. There have been no increases in the amounts we owe the diocese.”...Fr. Dave

PSR News – Because Osage R-1 School is scheduling a full day of school (no longer dismissing at 1:00) on Wednesday, March 12, PSR classes will be held that day.  (This had originally been scheduled as a day of no PSR classes.)  If you have any questions, please contact the rectory.

Profess, Proclaim and Celebrate Our Faith Campaign – By now you should have received Fr. Dave’s letter asking for your prayerful consideration of increased support to the Offertory.  Generosity is a hallmark of our Christian faith and is returned a hundredfold to those who give not only of their surplus, but of their substance.  Christian generosity means giving more than we should because we have faith in Jesus.  Please join with fellow parishioners who have already responded and pray that our Profess, Proclaim and Celebrate Our Faith campaign will engage the entire Most Pure Heart of Mary and Assumption faith communities.
