“Again, I hope that my voice continues to heal and I will soon be back to normal. I am sorry that I’ve had to cancel so many Masses lately (especially considering that I’ll soon be gone on my pilgrimage). I pray and know that God heard your prayers at home.
“The follow up letter to our offertory appeal went out late last week because… well that’s the program we signed up for. We truly do trust you to do what God is asking of you, and we won’t worry about anything else.
“However, this appeal is very timely, as the recent cold weather has really blown our budget for heating and utilities. Last year through December we paid $300 for heating MPH. This year through January we spent $1100 heating MPH and I’ve already seen the bills for February of $2200 for propane. I’m sure Assumption is in similar straits. So please give whatever extra you can to help with these expenses. God bless you too as, I know, you struggle to pay your bills also.”...Fr. Dave
