**Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule – Masses will be offered on Ash Wed. (March 1) at 5:30 p.m. at Assumption and 7:00 p.m. at MPH. A 6:00 a.m. Mass is being offered at Westphalia for commuters.
“Well, here it is. Wednesday is Ash Wednesday – the beginning of our Lenten fast – a time for prayer, fasting and almsgiving. But, of course, it is up to each of us to really make it happen in our lives. We need to choose to spend a little more time in prayer, to do penance, and to give alms. This holy season is not a new demand on us, but an opportunity. Let’s use it well.
“We are grateful for the work that Marian Forck (and committee) has already done gathering prizes for MPH’s raffle. We have over 50 prizes – so selling them should be easy. Thanks, too, to Fred Schollmeyer for making the new sign out front. And to all who will make our fish fry and seafood buffets a big success.”…Fr. Dave
