Text Box: “Wow, what a wonderful snowstorm. It’s like being back in Magadan, though we really didn’t have a blizzard, with lots of high winds, the snowfall sure is pretty. But it does put a damper on activities. I hope everyone has been warm and safe. Hopefully we can get back to some of our regular activities this week, but, of course, be safe first. If it seems dangerous, don’t come out. And be patient – spring will come.
“I didn’t have any volunteers or nominations for our Liturgy Committees to prepare our parishes for the coming new Mass translations. So we will continue to work on that. At St. Mary’s the Adult Faith Committee will begin looking at coming events and activities and hopefully take on a little about how we will prepare for this liturgical change. Perhaps it can be part of a Lenten study program, or something next fall. At Assumption, the prayer group will be taking this on. So if you are interested, please come to the next Wednesday prayer group. Also at Assumption, it’s time for Marie to retire as the liturgy assignment coordinator, so we are looking for someone to take that on. If you can serve in this capacity (scheduling the liturgical ministers), please let me know.
“So take it easy out there, stay warm, stay safe. There’s not a lot of extra activities here at the parishes this month, but next month, with the beginning of spring and Lent we’ll be having a lot more activities- Seafood Buffet, Fish Fry, Spring Dinner, etc. So rest up now while you can. We are counting on and very appreciative of everyone pitching in and making these events a great success.
     “God bless.”...Fr. Dave
