“Since the diocesan 24 Hours of Mercy went very well, we have decided to do a shorter version for our parishes. It will be next Saturday, March 19, the beginning of Holy Week from 10 am until 5:45. Thus, this is an opportunity to do something for Lent, Holy Week, and the Year of Mercy all at once. We will have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, plus each hour will have a special theme/prayers. I’ll also be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the 11 am and 2 pm hours. We’ll end the day with a Lenten Soup and Bread supper. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to do something a little extra for Lent, and the beginning of Holy Week.”…Fr. Dave
PSR News – On Wednesday, March 23, PSR students will join together for Stations of the Cross at 7:00 p.m. in MPH church. All parents, grandparents, chauffeurs, parishioners are invited to join together on this journey to the cross. PSR classes will follow Stations. There will be no PSR classes on March 30 because of Spring Break at Osage R-1 School.
Luke: Stories On The Road - Wednesday, March 23, at 6:30 p.m. at St. George, Linn. In an evening that is both entertaining and eye-opening, TV star Frank Runyeon performs the famous parables in Luke's travel narrative, and then pauses to reflect on how we hear each story--and miss what it is really saying. All are welcome to this free event.
Weekend Mass Location Change – After Holy Week/Easter, beginning with the April 2/3 weekend, the Saturday 6:00 p.m. Mass will be at Assumption, and the Sunday 8:00 a.m. Mass will be at MPH. This will be in effect until October.
Penance Services (at 7:00 p.m.) – Linn March 15, Westphalia March 16.

DAY OF MERCY 10 am: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament; praying The Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. 11 am: The Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary; (Sacrament of Reconciliation available). 12 am: Angelus and the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 1 pm: Meditation on the Corporal Works of Mercy. 2 pm: Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary; (Sacrament of Reconciliation available). 3 pm: Divine Mercy Jubilee prayers and chaplet. 4 pm: Prayers for the Stations of the Cross. 5 pm: Glorious Mysteries. 5:45 pm: Benediction. Proceed to parish hall for start of Palm Sunday Procession. 6 pm: Mass. 7 pm: Bread & soup supper. Everyone is welcome – invite your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. |

Nursing Home Mass – A Mass will be offered for “Verhoff Family” on Friday, March 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Linn Living & Rehab Center. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Our Carmelite Sisters (now residing in Clyde, MO) are coming to Jeff City for a private tour of the newly renovated former monastery. Two Carmelite Sisters will be here & available for a meet & greet on Tues., March 15, at the Chancery from 4:00-6:00 pm. You are invited to stop in and visit briefly with them.
Easter Lilies – If you would like to donate lilies for Easter (in memory of a loved one if so desired), please put them in back of church by Good Friday.
