“With this 4th Sunday of Lent we begin to more specifically turn our attention to Christ’s coming passion and resurrection. Let us truly try to understand the Love of God who would undergo such trials for us. Will we enter into this mystery of our salvation? Most important would be to participate in the Liturgical commemorations of these events, that is, to participate in the Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil liturgies! These ‘Three Days’ celebration is the most important of the whole liturgical year. Put them on your calendar and plan on participating.
“We know that Jesus himself prayed for unity among all his followers. So it is especially important to take advantage of opportunities for praying together with other Christians. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend Monday evening’s ecumenical World Day of Prayer at Assumption.
“I hope everyone still has lots of energy and enthusiasm for our second Seafood Buffet. We need all to again help make this a great success. Please take and sell raffle tickets!”…Fr. Dave
