Text Box: Lent continues to move along. This is ‘Laetare’, or rejoicing Sunday because we are already nearing our salvation – the death and resurrection of Our Lord. Passion Sunday is just two weeks from today! Certainly still time to ask ourselves how are we doing? And are we using this season of Lent well?
“This week is the second Seafood Buffet at MPH. Please support it by helping out, inviting friends and selling raffle tickets. This week is also the first Rummage Sale at Assumption. When we picked the dates, we hoped that people coming from elsewhere might stop at both places. Please support this rummage sale with your donations (if not too late) and finding all kinds of bargains for yourself. (
“We will be offering our Parish Family and History Book for $20 each. I NEED all the pre-orders today, or as soon as possible, so that I will know how many books to have printed.  Please call if you know you will be wanting more than just one copy, i.e., one for each of your children and their families.
     “God bless.”...Fr. Dave
Area Lenten Penance Services - Sunday, March 18, at 1:00 p.m. in Frankenstein; Wed., March 28, at 7:00 p.m. in Loose Creek.  (Fr. Dave is also available for confession before or after Mass or anytime that works with his schedule and yours.)

Three-In-One Collection - “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me” (Mt 25:35). Today, we are reminded of Jesus’ call to see him in all those we encounter. The Three-in-One Collection sees Jesus in displaced families, those who seek to change unjust laws, and those who need pastoral care and humanitarian assistance around the globe. How will you help Jesus in disguise? Please be generous in today’s collection.

Rally for Religious Liberty - Tuesday, March 27, at 12:00 noon, First Floor Rotunda State Capitol.  Rally to overturn the federal mandate that forces religious employers and others to pay for abortion drugs, contraceptives & sterilization. Wear red. If you want to lobby legislators, please come at 10 a.m. to register. For info, contact the MO Catholic Conference at 1-800-456-1679 or at mocatholic@mocatholic.org.
