Text Box: “Only one more week of Lent, and then Holy Week. Next Sunday is Passion Sunday, the beginning of the most important week of our Church Year. I pray these preceding five weeks have helped us prepare for this most important time – the recalling and indeed reliving the events of Christ’s passion, death, and resurrection. I call for each and every one of us to set aside, find time, make time for the celebration of the Holy Triduum – the Sacred Three Days – Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil. The Church asks but a few hours each evening. Surely we can find that much time for the Lord who died for us? These are joint celebrations of Assumption and Most Pure Heart of Mary parishes. While we join them together at one place or another, and yes, it might mean an extra 8 miles of driving, they are our celebrations and everyone should make every effort to attend wherever they are held.
“I had enough response to my request for pre-orders for the Most Pure Heart of Mary Anniversary book, that I placed the order. We should have the books by May 6 and plenty of copies, at which time they will be distributed and we’ll ask for payment. If you want to reserve a copy, or pay ahead of time, you may do so.”...Fr. Dave
