“Once again I want to really thank everyone who made the first seafood buffet at MPH a great success. It was great to see so many parishioners (and others!) working together. I pray that we can make this Friday’s seafood buffet another equally successful event. I know it is a lot of work, so we really depend on a lot a people to turn out and help. If you weren’t on a work list, I assure you it was completely unintentional; just come and your help will be greatly appreciated.
“Remember Mass locations change next weekend!
“We are moving quickly through Lent – soon Holy Week will be upon us (and my departure)! I hope everyone has the Great Easter Triduum on your calendars (April 17, 18 & 19th) and are making plans to attend. Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday are the great days of our salvation. By Christ’s passion and resurrection we are redeemed! We should want to commemorate and celebrate them – giving thanks that God so loved us, that He would send his Son to die and rise for us. Let us faithfully come together as one faith family for these three celebrations as they are joint celebrations of both Assumption and MPH parishes.”...Fr. Dave

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Collection - Across the globe, the CRS collection serves Jesus in the victims of human trafficking, in those who suffer from unjust laws, and in those who need pastoral care and humanitarian assistance. Through your support with this weekend’s collection, you help Jesus in disguise. Please be generous.

USCCB Migration Committee Journey to U.S.–Mexico Border (March 30-April 1) - During this journey of faith, you are invited to join in prayer (pray the rosary; fast during the day (or for a meal) while reflecting on the moral necessity of immigration reform; in a special way, on April 1, when the Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in remembrance of those who have died crossing the U.S.-Mexico border seeking a better life for their families and loved ones).  We ask God that their journey of faith will help us and our legislators find greater common ground to enact a more compassionate immigration reform.

Lunch/Community Day Event – Wed., April 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Dos Primo’s Mexican Restaurant in Hermann, MO.  MWA pays $3/person toward cost of meal.  Please bring nonperishable food items for donation to food pantry (those who do will have a 2nd chance to win attendance prize).  If planning to attend, RSVP by April 4 to Marlo Bockting 294-6613.  Sponsored by MWA Senior Summit Chapter.
