Text Box: “This is Holy Week. We have begun this week with today’s Passion Sunday - having already walked with Christ his Way to Calvary. On Holy Thursday we will gather for the evening meal with Christ - His Last Supper with his disciples, when he washed their feet and asked them to do likewise. Afterwards he went to the Garden of Gethsemane asking his disciples to pray One Hourwith him. Most Pure Heart of Mary will be open until 11 pm for people to come and pray before the Holy Thursday Altar of Repose. Good Friday we remember Christ’s crucifixion and death on the cross. It has always been a tradition to keep the hours from 12 to 3 as sacred hours. How can you mark these hours wherever you might be, at home or at work to remember Christ’s saving passion. Church will again be open all day for anyone who wants to spend some time with Christ in his passion, gathering at a more convenient evening time for our service of the passion, veneration of the Cross and Holy Communion. Holy Saturday is a night vigil as we watch through the night for Christ’s resurrection from the dead - Joyously once again proclaiming our Alleluias for the great gift of Redemption. I look forward to celebrating with each of you these most holy of days.”...Fr. Dave
