SB 519 Would Extend the Waiting Period to Obtain An Abortion from 24 to 72 hours. Action alert from MO Catholic Conference: Contact Senator Mike Kehoe (573-751-2076, email mike.kehoe@senate.mo.gov) and ask him to vote in favor of SB 519 when it comes up for a vote.
PSR News – On Wednesday, April 16, a PSR Mass will be offered at 7:15 p.m. PSR classes are scheduled to be held April 23 and April 30 (last PSR class scheduled for this year).
Infirm Priest Fund, maintained through an annual assessment to parishes (MPH’s assessment $1,104, Assumption’s $795), is primarily for medical & other extraordinary expenses not covered by the regular insurance program or the CSA. Please give generously to assist those who now share in a particular way in the suffering of Christ & who have given their lives in service. (Check your envelope packet for special envelope for this collection.)
“We are all on a pilgrimage. We are all on the pilgrimage of life, heading toward the kingdom of God. The pilgrimage of Lent is down to the last week. We will complete this pilgrimage next Sunday as we once again encounter the Risen Lord. Let’s make a real effort to also walk with Christ through his passion, by joining in our Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday celebrations. And finally, each week is a little pilgrimage to our Sunday Worship, the source and summit of our life in Christ. This weekly pilgrimage can be walked in many ways. If you can make a weekday Mass, they help us anticipate the Sunday Liturgy; if there is no Mass (as while I’m on my pilgrimage) the lack should make us hunger all the more for Sunday. On Wednesday evenings from 6-7 there will be a Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration and a communion service on Friday mornings. I also encourage you to ‘pilgrimage’ to our neighboring churches for Mass if possible. On the second Tuesday of May and June there is Mass at the Starkenburg Shrine at noon, and a pilgrimage on the 3rd Sunday of May. Hermann has a daily Mass at 8 am, Linn has an 8 am Mass on Wednesday and Fridays and Tuesday at 6 pm, Frankenstein has a Thursday morning Mass at 9:30 during school, and 8 am for the summer. So with a little effort or planning, one can still do a ‘little extra’ for the Lord.

Nursing Home Mass – A Mass will be offered for “John Fick” on Thursday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m. at Autumn Meadows in Linn. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Donations Received – Donations in memory of Paul Walter in the amount of $410 have been received by MPH. We keep Paul and his family in our prayers and extend our heartfelt sympathy.
Rice Bowls – Rice Bowls (with checks or change enclosed) may be dropped off in the back of church Holy Thursday or any day thereafter.
Osage R-1 School Archery Club Fundraiser – Pulled pork dinner, dessert & drink on Saturday, April 26, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Morrison Community Center. Adults/$8, ages 5-12/$4.50, ages 5 and under/$2.50. All funds up to $500 matched by MWA.
