Text Box: “Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! We continue this joyful refrain throughout these Days of our Easter Season. Let us continue to try and make them resound joyfully in our lives and action all these days. He has indeed shown us his Divine Mercy. May we receive it with Joy.
“Our Dedication Centennial fast approaches. We hope everyone has set May 6th aside and will make it a day of celebration with us. See more information in today’s bulletin. I noticed that next Saturday is designated Clean-up Day for Chamois. Anyone who can, is welcome to come and work on our grounds and help clean up and prepare for the celebration.

? Of the Week - What strengthens your faith?  Why do you believe in Jesus?

MPH Finance Committee Meeting - Thursday, April 19, at 7:00 p.m.

Handbell Choir Rehearsal - Tuesday, April 17, at 7:00 p.m.

Nursing Home Mass - A Mass will be offered for “Dora White” on Thursday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. at Autumn Meadows in Linn.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Infirm Priest Collection - This collection, taken up on Easter, is primarily for medical and other extraordinary expenses not covered by the regular insurance program or the Catholic Stewardship Appeal.  Each parish is assessed annually for this fund.  MPH’s assessment is $867; Assumption’s is $1,134.  Please prayerfully consider contributing to this fund by using the special envelope in your packet or mark an envelope “Infirm Priest Fund” and then drop it in the collection basket.

Religious Liberty Bill Under Attack from Insurance Industry - SB 749 ensures that no employer or employee is forced to pay for abortion drugs, contraceptives or sterilizations in their health plans. But the insurance industry doesn't want to write policies that exclude these morally objectionable items. MO Catholic Conference requests that you contact Representative Tom Loehner (573-751-1344 email Tom.Loehner@house.mo.gov) today (the bill has already been approved by the MO Senate) and ask him to do all he can to move SB 749 forward.

New Sanctuary Furniture - In preparation for our centennial celebration on May 6, the final renovation project of the church interior will be construction of new sanctuary furniture. This had been included in the original renovation plans, but is just now finally being executed. The beautiful pieces - lectern, altar, and presider’s chair - have been designed by Joyce Wright and built by Sieg Woodworking. Fr. Dave found the original (?) altar stone and it will be incorporated into the altar. The furniture will be funded by the remaining renovation monies and donations. If anyone wishes to make a remembrance donation or contribution, please contact the rectory or one of the renovation committee members - Wayne and Kim Trachsel, Fred Schollmeyer, Joyce Wright, or Sherry Starke. Thank you.

Chicken Dinner (& trimmings) - Sunday, April 29, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Morrison Community Building.  Proceeds benefit Morrison Volunteer Fire Dept.  Up to $2,500 matched by MWA.  Adults/$9, ages 6-12/$4.50, 5 & under/free.  Donations of pies or cakes greatly appreciated.  For info, call Lorna Rost 294-7276.
