Catholic Home Missions Collection - Right here in the U.S., some dioceses are unable to provide fundamental pastoral care for their faithful. These “home mission” dioceses cannot support an adequate number of priests. They cannot afford funding for youth ministry programs or religious education. This weekend we take up a collection for the Catholic Home Missions Appeal. Help strengthen the Church at home with a generous donation.  If you were unable to donate this week and would like to, just drop an envelope for “Catholic Home Missions” in the collection basket next weekend.

Thank You from Catholic Relief Services for making Operation Rice Bowl a part of your Lenten celebration.  On behalf of all the people they serve around the world, they thank you for your support!

Text Box: I forgot to mention last week (but it’s been on the parish google calendar – see website) that I signed up for my annual retreat next week. That was before we moved the bishop’s visit to next Sunday. So I’ll be gone and there won’t be Mass this week except for Monday morning at 8 am. There will be communion service, though, on Friday at St. Mary’s.
“But I’m confident that everything is ready for Bishop Gaydos’ visit next Sunday. We will have Mass of Thanksgiving and blessing for the new renovations. At the end of Mass we’ll celebrate this church and the people who received sacraments here over the years, and then thank all those who donated toward these renovations or made memorials. So please invite guests, family members and neighbors. We’ll end with a May Crowning and outdoor reception. Any of our children who wish to participate in the May Crowning procession should gather together in the cry room before Mass; they’ll join in the entrance procession; sit up front and then lead the procession after Mass.
“Anyone who wishes to have their mother remembered in our Mother’s Day Masses on May 8-9 needs to have the offering envelope returned by next Sunday, for inclusion in the list of mothers for that day. You may drop it in the collection next Sunday, or bring it to the office. Of course, if you bring it on Mother’s Day or even later in the month, the spiritual benefits are just as good (God is generous that way!); it’s just that we won’t have her on our list for May 9.”...Fr. Dave

Attention Children Participating in May Crowning Procession - Just a reminder to those children wishing to participate in the May Crowning procession to dress up for this special event.

She, also, is assisting the committee in providing a special luncheon after her presentation. So please come after a very light lunch and with a determination to improve your gait and your balance. Handouts will be provided.
