“I hope everyone noticed the cemetery survey in your May contribution envelopes. Having 2 of 3 of the last people we buried choose cremation, I think it is important that we think of how we can best serve this custom. Please get this survey back to us as soon as possible. If you need one, let me know.
“I enjoyed having all our PSR children at Mass last Wednesday to receive their “diplomas” and end another PSR year… almost. This Wednesday will be their end-of-year party. Parents are asked to bring cookies or a treat to share and are also encouraged to stay and celebrate with all the PSR family.  Families, friends, parishioners are welcome.
“This week I’ll be gone for my annual retreat. Therefore, there will be no daily Masses this week (but there will be a communion service on Friday at MPH). Please pray for me and the other priests who will be on this retreat. I’ll keep all of you in my prayers.”…Fr. Dave

Catholic Home Missions Collection - Many dioceses in the U.S. do not have enough priests & trained lay ministers to serve their parishes. The Catholic Home Missions collection (this weekend) supports these dioceses by funding essential ministries, including seminary education & lay ministry training. Please be generous in this appeal and share your resources to strengthen the Church at home.

World Day of Prayer for Vocations – Sunday, April 26, the Church throughout the world prays for vocations.  Will you make a special effort to ask the Lord for more vocations to priesthood and religious life?  Pray for priests who have ministered to you throughout your life, both living and dead.  Keep our parish priests in your prayers.  Encourage your children, grandchildren, or other young people to consider a vocation as a priest or religious brother or sister.  Pray a rosary for more young men and women in our diocese to respond to God’s call.  Available in the back of church are two brochures:  1) Seven Ways Families Can Foster Vocations, 2) Vocation Prayer Apostolate – A powerful program for the sick and homebound to intercede for vocations.

Thank You – The Frank Schollmeyer family thanks everyone for their donations of food and help at the luncheon.
