++MPH Dedication Centennial next Sunday, May 6 - Mass time to begin this special celebration is 10:00 a.m.  (No 8:00 a.m. Mass.)

Text Box: “Well, it seems Most Pure Heart of Mary’s Centennial Celebration is already next week. We will be welcoming Bishop Gaydos for a 10 o’clock Mass. (No 8 am Mass at MPH of course; Mass at Assumption on Saturday as usual, but if no one came because everyone will be at MPH on Sunday, that would be great). We’ll have Bishop Gaydos bless the new Altar, Lectern, and Presidential Chair - the final pieces of our Renovation Project. After Mass everyone is invited over to the parish hall for dinner – there is no cost because we are asking our parishioners to bring dishes. Dinner entertainment will be included! Unfortunately, Bishop Gaydos will not be able to stay after Mass. At 2 pm the Handbell Choir will present their Spring Concert in the church. This is free and open to everyone. You are encouraged to invite your neighbors and members of the other churches in town to the concert. Cookies and punch afterwards on the lawn, we hope.
“So we hope everyone has set the day aside, invited old parishioners and is planning on having a wonderful day together. Sr. Bernice Orscheln, SSND has sent her prayers and blessings for us – promising to remember us that day, but she will not be able to attend as she is in Chatawa, MS. Sr. Francella Marie SSND, now Sr. Barbara, will be with us, and is looking forward to seeing former students again.”...Fr. Dave

MPH Parishioners are reminded to bring 2 large dishes (one salad and one vegetable) for the Centennial celebration next Sunday.

Grass Mowing Job - MPH is looking for someone to cut and trim the grass at MPH Cemetery.  If interested, please contact Jim Keilholz 763-5077.
New Sanctuary Furniture - In preparation for our Centennial celebration on May 6, the final renovation project of the church interior will be construction of new sanctuary furniture. This had been included in the original renovation plans, but is just now finally being executed. The beautiful pieces - lectern, altar, and presider’s chair - have been designed by Joyce Wright and built by Sieg Woodworking. Fr. Dave found the original (?) altar stone and it will be incorporated into the altar. The furniture will be funded by the remaining renovation monies and donations. If anyone wishes to make a remembrance donation or contribution, please contact the rectory or one of the renovation committee members - Wayne and Kim Trachsel, Fred Schollmeyer, Joyce Wright, or Sherry Starke. Thank you.
