Text Box: “Summer is indeed upon us, I hope everyone is keeping cool, and enjoying it. Unfortunately they say that high water is on the way. So we can expect some flooding and inconveniences. As they said at the community meeting, we should Be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best. Though they are not predicting levels as high as the ‘93 flood, we should still be prepared. And while we hope that our churches will not be directly affected, (though Morrison should probably make some extra preparations just in case) we still need to be prepared to help out those who might be affected. Of course, I would expect nothing less from a community than to help their neighbors in times of need. Of course, as Christians we should Pray for the best. Be sure to remember and pray for all affected by natural disasters. Summer might just give some of you a little extra free time – how about making daily Mass when you can. Daily Mass is never ‘required’ (except Holy Days) but if you have the time when Mass is offered, it’s a good way to spend a little extra time with the Lord. Sundays are the Lord’s Day and so He gets the first fruits. Even if you are on vacation or traveling, Sunday Mass times have been published for every parish in the diocese or can easily be found on the internet. On this feast of Pentecost, we pray especially for the gifts of the Holy Spirit. May we all be inflamed with the Holy Spirit of God to live and love and witness our faith in our lives.
“Special congratulations and prayers to Brian Rost and Rebecca Prater who will be Married this Saturday. We pray for all God’s Graces for them and a long and loving marriage.
     “May God bless you.”...Fr. Dave
