News from Fr. Dave – Fr. Dave has made it safely to Leon! (Leon is the largest city on the Camino, and marks about the 2/3rds point.)  He has less than 200 miles to go. Fr. Dave prays that everyone is well and conveys special prayers for all fathers this weekend.  You are all in his heart and prayers.

Funeral Arrangements for Dorothy Nolte – Dorothy Nolte passed to her eternal reward on June 11.  Visitation will be on Sunday, June 15, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Assumption Church in Morrison.  The funeral Mass will be on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Church.  Fr. Bill Debo from Hermann will be the officiant.  Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with Dorothy’s family.

Sympathy Extended to Sandy and David Keilholz family on the death of Sandy’s father, Loren Berkemeyer.  Visitation is on Monday, June 16, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann, followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are also with Sandy and her family.

Corpus Christi Procession – Next Sunday, June 22, (the feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ) at MPH, weather permitting, we will have a procession with the Holy Eucharist after Mass.

The Fortnight for Freedom: Freedom to Serve (to raise awareness for domestic and international religious freedom concerns) will take place from June 21-July 4, a time when our liturgical calendar celebrates a series of great martyrs who remained faithful in the face of persecution by political power—St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, St. John the Baptist, SS. Peter and Paul, and the First Martyrs of the Church of Rome. The two-week celebration will focus on the theme, “Freedom to Serve,” emphasizing the link between religious liberty and service to the poor and vulnerable.
