“As you know, I’ll be on vacation for the next two weeks! Fr. George Kramer will be with you next weekend. I trust you will make him welcome and help him in whatever needs to be done. Unfortunately, it means that there won’t be daily Mass on weekdays. God will certainly hear your prayers from home, so remember to remain faithful to your daily prayers. The Word Among Us for July is available in the back of church, pick one up and take it home with you. Keep the parishes going while I’m gone. God Bless.”...Fr. Dave  (If you need a priest while Fr. Dave is gone, you may call St. George in Linn 897-2293, Immaculate Conception in Loose Creek 897-2922, St. George in Hermann, 486-2723, or the chancery 635-9127.)

Religious Liberty - What do we mean by religious liberty?  Religious liberty is the first liberty granted to us by God and protected in the First Amendment to the US Constitution.  It includes more than our ability to go to Mass on Sunday or pray the Rosary at home.  It also encompasses our ability to contribute freely to the common good of all Americans.  Please remember to pray daily and offer sacrifices for rebuilding a culture favorable to life, marriage, and increased protection of religious liberty during the Fortnight for Freedom (June 21-July 4).

Camp Hope is scheduled for July 8-12.  Registration papers have been mailed.  If you did not get yours or know of someone else who would like to register, please contact the parish office.  Some blank registration papers are in back of MPH church.

Question of the Week – How do you wear Christ?

July Contribution Envelopes are available in the back of church.

Pro-Life Rosary – Monday, July 1, at 9:00 a.m. in MPH church.

Immigration Reform – The MO Catholic Conference asks you to contact Senator Roy Blunt (202-224-5721 email at http://blunt.senate.gov) and Senator Claire McCaskill (202-224-6154 email at http://mccaskill.senate.gov) and urge their support for immigration reform.  Message:  Let's not keep good hardworking people in the shadows; there should be a way for the undocumented to become legal residents and citizens. These immigrants will pay more taxes, keep Social Security solvent and help to build a more robust economy that helps us all. A new immigration law will increase the U.S. workforce paying taxes and lead to major reductions in the federal budget deficit.  Our immigration laws should allow families to reunite in this country.

Community First Aid & CPR Certification Class – Friday, July 19, from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Osage County Emergency Operations Center, 205 East Main, Linn.  $45/person.  RSVP by July 12 to 877-627-0400 or email Rose@ilrcjcmo.org.  Sponsored by Independent Living Resource Center, Inc.

Meal at Cottage Restaurant & Studio (1185 Hwy. H, Hermann) - July 18 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  Menu: choice of pan fried chicken or stuffed pork loin with all trimmings including dessert, drink & gratuity for $15.  MWA pays $3.00/person towards meal (net cost $12). Members & guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food for the food pantry.  Guests are always welcome.  If planning to attend, must call Marlo Bockting by July 15 at 294-6613.  Sponsored by MWA Senior Summit Chapter.
