“Guess the next major parish activity is Camp Hope, July 11-15. Spread the word to our kids and your kids and grandkids. Registration materials are available in the back of church and at the parish office.
“I have a one-day session of our Leadership Training on Tuesday this week. So there won’t be Mass at Assumption that day. We finish early enough that I’ll be back here for a 7pm Finance/Maintenance Committee meeting to discuss a new heating system for Most Pure Heart and the kitchen ceiling in the hall among other things. All are welcome.
“ All in all, enjoy the summer. God bless.”...Fr. Dave

First Friday (this week) Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus consists of attending Mass and receiving Holy Communion on nine consecutive First Fridays.  Some of the Twelve Promises made by the Lord to St. Margaret Mary for those devoted to His Sacred Heart are:  They shall find in My Heart an assured refuge during life and especially at the hour of death, and I will pour abundant blessings on all their undertakings.

Camp Hope - This annual growing-in-faith event will be held July 11-15.  Registration materials are available in the back of both churches or from the parish office.

Basket for Samaritan Center Auction - St. Mary’s is once again putting together a basket to be auctioned off at the annual Samaritan Center dinner & auction on July14.  The theme for our basket this year is “Fun at the Movies” or “Movie Night.”  This basket will include items that go along with movies: movies themselves, popcorn, peanuts, etc.  If you would like to make a donation to this basket (either an item that would go along with the theme or cash), please place in the box in back of St. Mary’s Church.  Thank you.

Stewardship Quote - Among the compelling Eucharistic themes proclaimed in today's readings is the notion of "participation" as found in Saint Paul's letter to the Corinthians. Good stewards are part of a Eucharistic family: loving, welcoming, serving. An important part of living as a steward comes about in the many ways we can participate in the life of the Church. No matter how much time we have to give, no matter what our skills or interests, no matter what our level of commitment, there is a way to participate as a good steward to enrich our lives, and build up the Body of Christ.

St. Mary’s Picnic Country Store/Grab Bag Items - Do you make crafts (woodworking, needlework, etc.)?  Do you have homemade canned items on your pantry shelf?  Could you bring just one of these items or some homemade baked goods or fresh produce to the country store at the picnic?  Grab bag items (25¢, 50¢, 75¢, and $1 items for both kids and ladies) are welcome and appreciated.  If you have any questions, contact Ev Dudenhoeffer 763-5421.
