“With the summer literally heating up, I pray that everyone is keeping cool. This might be a good time to think about your neighbors who are homebound, or just elderly or alone. Take a moment to stop by and see how they are doing, or give a call to see that they are ok. We remember Jesus’ words that whatever we do to the least of his children, we do to Him. Have a safe and joyful summer.”…Fr. Dave

Osage County 911/Emergency Operations Center - After July 1, Osage County 911/Emergency Operations Center will be using a new emergency notification system powered by Smart911. If you haven't registered for Smart911, you will need to do so if you want to continue to receive important public safety alerts (hazardous weather alerts such as tornado watches and warnings, thunderstorm warnings, boil water advisories, lock down situations, flood warnings, missing persons, road closures, and NOW specific community alerts). If you have already registered with Smart911, log in at www.smart911.com and select the alerts you want to receive.  If not able to register online, fill out form in back of church, call 573-897-3561, or email director911@midamerica.net.

Camp Hope Barnyard Roundup for preschool/kindergarten to grade 6 kids will be held July 11-15, 2016, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church hall in Chamois.  Registration papers have been sent out.  If you need any, there are extra forms in the back of church or at the parish office.  Round up your kids and/or grandkids for a week of “farm-tastic fun”!!

Religious Liberty - There are many cases before the courts that take religious liberty into account.  We have great people who lobby and advocate for religious freedom.  We can assist in that important work by offering prayers and Masses.  The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops encourages you to pray for religious freedom especially during the Fortnight for Freedom, June 21-July 4.

Blood Drives – 1) Tuesday, July 5, 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Loose Creek Community Center, 2) Wednesday, July 6, 3:00-7:00 p.m. at St. John UCC in Chamois.

MPH Hall Cleaners for July – Kim & Wayne Trachsel, Tim & Joyce Wright.
