News from Fr. Dave – As of Thursday, June 26, Fr. Dave was on schedule to reach his destination of Santiago on Sunday, June 30! Keep him and Fr. Paul in your prayers.
Camp Hope “SonTreasure Island” – July 14-18 for grades K-6 (grandkids welcome also) at MPH! Papers have been sent & extras are in back of church if needed. If more forms are needed or if any questions, call Doris Rost 294-7333 or the parish office.
Receptions Planned – Next weekend receptions will be held at both parishes (at Assumption on Saturday, July 5, in the foyer after 6:00 p.m. Mass; at MPH on Sunday, July 6, in the hall after 8:00 a.m. Mass) to give heartfelt thanks to Fr. George Kramer for offering Mass for us while Fr. Dave was on pilgrimage. Please join us in extending thanks to Fr. George.
MWA Events – 1) Exhibit Viewing & Lunch - Wednesday, July 16. 11:00 a.m. tour Osage County Cultural Heritage Center, Linn, & enjoy the interactive display of “A State Divided”, The Civil War in Missouri exhibit. Lunch following at Dave’s Pizza & Wings. MWA pays $3.00/person’s lunch. Please bring a box of instant mashed potatoes for Good Shepherd Food Pantry. If planning to attend, please RSVP to Marlo 294-6613 by July 14. 2) “Ring of Fire” The Music of Johnny Cash - Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. at Arrow Rock. Lunch (around 11:30 a.m.) at Cracker Barrel in Columbia; then on to Arrow Rock. Leave Morrison 9:30 a.m. Tickets are $26.00 (good seats – 5th or 6th row). MWA pays $2.50/meal. If interested, call Marlo 294-6613 by July 20 for a ticket with payment of $23.50 (that is taking off $2.50 that MWA pays for your meal). Each person must pay driver $10.00. Will carpool; arrangements will be made later. 25 tickets available (non-refundable). The person who pays first will have a reservation. Please pay by July 20. Both events sponsored by MWA Senior Summit Chapter.
