“It was an enjoyable time last Saturday at the Pork Burger Sale with all the wonderful people who helped out. I thank you for your efforts. So maybe all you wonderful volunteers can come back together on Saturday, September 12 for a clean up/work day here at the parish. We need to spruce up the grounds for Chamois Day, and spiff up the hall/classrooms for the start of PSR. I especially ask PSR parents to come help clean up/prepare your child’s classroom.
“Then on Sunday, September 13, we can all meet in Starkenburg for the Fall Pilgrimage. Lunch, Stations of the Cross, an opportunity for Confession, and Mass at the outdoor Altar all make for a lovely day given to the Lord.”…Fr. Dave

PSR News – PSR will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 23.  Parents of new PSR attendees (including any new kindergartners) are asked to contact the parish office to register their child(ren).

Events at Starkenburg Shrine – 1) Mass on Sept. 8 at noon.  2) Fall pilgrimage on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Grand Opening of the Old Jail – Sunday, Sept. 13, at 4:00 p.m.  Mayor Jim Wright will do the honors at the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Tour the refurbished Old Jail.  Enjoy lemonade and cookies.  Everyone welcome.

Pork Burger Sale News – 710 pork burgers and 80 hot dogs were sold.  The deposit for the day was $2,045.50; expenses were $1,082.83 (includes start-up change), giving a net of $962.67.  If you weren’t able to help or come and would like to contribute, you may drop a donation for MPH Cemetery in the collection basket.  Donations are accepted at any time for cemetery upkeep.
