“September is officially here. We look forward to the upcoming pilgrimage to Starkenburg, Chamois Day, and the start of another year of religion classes for our kids. We will have an opening Mass on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 7 pm. We look forward to seeing all our kids and parents that evening. If your children have participated in the past, we are planning on seeing them again. If there is a change we don’t already know about, please let us know, or if your children are new, please ask the parish office for a registration form.”…Fr. Dave

Action Alert from MO Catholic Conference - The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is soliciting comments from the public through Tuesday, Sept. 6, on an important life issue. On August 4 the NIH announced that it plans to lift its moratorium on funding research that involves injecting human embryonic stem cells into animal embryos thus creating part-human and part-animal organisms known as chimeras. This research is ethically problematic for several reasons, one of which is it relies on the killing of humans at the embryonic stage to harvest their stem cells.
