“I’m happy to report that Vernon White, who died in May of 2011, had remembered to name MPH as a beneficiary to his pension fund, and so last week we received a little over $2500 from there. Thank you, Vernie, for thinking of us. Rest in Peace. I would encourage everyone to consider naming MPH or Assumption as beneficiary to any of your funds, or to remember your parish in your will.
     “We are asking the parents of our PSR students to stay after Mass next Sunday for a short meeting to be sure we have enough volunteers and everything is set for our PSR program. We appreciate your interest in your child’s religious education.
     “The liturgy committee picked out and ordered a new statue of Mary for the sign in front of MPH. We will be having it permanently attached.

Coming Soon to our Parishes - Father Robert Barron’s CATHOLICISM Video Series! This series is being hailed as one of the most exciting adult faith formation resources of the last 50 years!  It’s a journey to the heart of faith.  The series is being promoted for small groups throughout the diocese beginning this fall.  More details will be forthcoming concerning this video series in our parishes.  The diocese is offering a workshop on Sept. 23 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Chancery for those interested in finding out more about the series and to provide small group leaders with everything they need.  If interested in attending the workshop, RSVP to Ev Dudenhoeffer or email
