Text Box: “This weekend we remember the tragic events of 9/11 2001 – the terrorist attacks on America. What strikes me is how the really terrible was matched by the really heroic. After the horrible images of the collapse of the Twin Towers, or the hole in the Pentagon, or crashed plane in a Pennsylvania field, we have the stories of firemen, policemen, and ordinary citizens risking their lives to save others. God, while never desiring the evil, will often use it to bring forth good. Or perhaps it’s just that people are capable of either or both. We can choose to do evil or choose to do good. Let’s use this anniversary to rededicate ourselves to working for peace and understanding among all people and religions. And, of course, honor the memory of all who lost their lives, or gave their lives for others.
“I hope that everyone had a chance to (and actually did) indicate what committee you will be helping your parish family with. We appreciate your generosity. If you missed the sign up, it’s never too late. We’ll leave extra forms in the back of church, you can return it anytime. We’ll post the names of people in the various committees, if you want to join them add your name; and, if you are already on a committee, it’s allowable, and I encourage you to recruit others to help.
“Looking forward to Chamois Day next Saturday. I hope to see everyone there. Morrison people, too.
     “God bless.”...Fr. Dave
