“We were saddened this week with the news of Lois Dattilo’s death in Madison, Indiana. She died last Sunday morning, and the funeral was Thursday. Our prayers and condolences go out to Lenny and all their family. Eternal rest grant unto her, O, Lord.  (Note:  If you’d like to send a card to husband & families:  Lenny Dattilo, c/o Lucy Dattilo, 1048 West Main Street, Madison, IN 47250.)
“We have completed the renovation and updating of the men’s restroom in MPH’s hall. A big thanks to Dawson Haslag who spent a day helping tear out the old walls; Stan & Mark Dudenhoeffer who donated time on the walls; and to Jim Keilholz for all the plumbing. This project cost just a bit over $7000.00 paid for from our Schwartze Foundation grant for parish improvements.
“Next Sunday is the first Sunday in October – the month of Mary and the Rosary. MPH will be praying a special version of The Scriptural Rosary for the Jubilee Year. We encourage everyone to come early to Mass throughout October to pray the Rosary. Next week this special version might go a little longer, so when you arrive for Mass, we will, most likely, still be in progress; giving everyone an opportunity to participate at least a little bit. Assumption will use this version the following week before the Sunday morning Mass (times having been switched).”…Fr. Dave

NOTE:  If you are unable to work at the appointed time, it is your responsibility to find a replacement.  If you are not on work list & would like to volunteer, please come & help.

Attention Pork Burger Sale Volunteers/Workers – In order to receive matching funds from Western Catholic Union, one of the requirements is to tell them how many workers & how many hours were devoted to this event.  To aid in this calculation, a sheet will be available at the Pork Burger Sale for you to fill in your name and ALL hours devoted to this event (all hours include time spent attending planning meeting, picking up grill, returning grill, cleaning, etc.).  Also, bottled water will not be sold this year, so either bring or purchase your own drink.  Thank you.
