Text Box: (Continuing my reflection on the Roman Missal…) After you have received communion, and are returning to your pew, one should be aware that you have just received and are now host to the Lord of lords, and God of gods, our Creator and redeemer. God has come to you and is living in you. That should leave us with an overwhelming sense of awe and humility, wonder and joy. We should be concentrating on that and not what is happening around us. It is again a time to sit in silent prayer and contemplation of the great mystery in which you have participated. So you are welcome and encouraged to sit or stand or kneel in prayer with your Lord, now so close and within you. You can again close your eyes and spend the time with your Lord, even ignoring all around you, until invited back to attention with Let us Pray.
Next Saturday is Chamois Day. Most Pure Heart has sold pies and coffee as a Mission fundraiser for the last couple of years. The pies always sell out, and people enjoy having a place to come and sit a bit. So if you could bring a pie or dessert by next Saturday, we would appreciate it.
As you see on the Calendar of events, PSR is starting again real soon. If your child attended last year we have them registered for this year again. If that is not correct, please let us know. If you are new, or you are planning on enrolling your child for the first time, please contact the office for registration material.

The Handbells of St. Mary’s has again agreed to host a concert for the conclusion of Chamois’ Tour of Homes and Churches on Dec. 16. Anyone who is interested is welcome to come to rehearsal on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 7 pm. We are in need of handbell ringers, substitutes and even a director if interested. Come be part of this Christmas concert and tradition.
